IT'S SO, SO GOOD ;__________; (And now I can finally use one of my favorite spoilery icons!!) Just! The never-ending torrent of fucked-upness and weirdness and people dealing (or not) with it and the shadow girls' play and the lie of the castle and and and - it's all just so damn good.
You have so many good theories!! I don't really have deep thoughts on any of them (... because I'd for sure have to rewatch to really give fair, deep thoughts of my own and alas, time), but they're so good to read. It's a show that raises so many questions without firm answers and it's so fun to speculate and discuss them! Or even be lazy like me and just enjoy others' speculations and discussions. /o\ I do think, personally, that Akio and Dios are the same person on some level - Dios is the brother that younger!Anthy adored so much she'd do anything for him, but Akio is who that brother grew up into, kind of... But it's definitely a weird situation.
