Vexercises 1

My current AMV is kicking my ass, so I turned to [community profile] vexercises to try my hand at something slightly easier. I was a little afraid, because the rules for the current exercise are this:

Pechakucha 2 ways: Create a video edit of exactly 60 seconds consisting of precisely 10 video clips from your chosen source text, each lasting precisely 6 seconds, assembled with straight cuts. Make two versions of your pechakucha, with 1 minute excerpts from two different songs as audio. Fade in and out on your audio at the beginning and end of the audio clip.[Word to the wise: Most six second clips that you use are bound to have in-clip cuts--you don't have to go looking only for clips that have no internal cuts. But you can make those internal cuts work for you rhythmically or thematically etc!]

And six seconds is SO long. But! Then I sat down for about two hours and knocked these out. Of course there's a bunch of things I'd like to tweak, if I didn't have to go with six seconds exactly, but they turned out really fun.

It's Naruto, but if it was a horror anime. If you have a strong aversion to worms, I'd skip these.

When I saw [community profile] vexercises in my Network page I was like "omg I must tell [personal profile] lizardjay" before realising... of course you'd be one already subscribed to it :D

Omg that is so many rules for an exercise haha. It feels very intimidating but I guess it lets people try new things and see how they like it?? The results are really cool!!

Good luck with the fun exercises till you're ready to kick the ass of your current AMV right back :D

Yeah I can see how having so many rules you can't overthink it could also help, kinda like a 100-word drabble does! It's just the list is so long 🤣 But it sounds super flexible and like a really nice environment to try new things... Yay! :D
