OMG the vibes of the two songs are so different. xD I love, love, love the final edit with the instrumental song. I can see what you mean about masking the lyrics so that they are more singalong with the original song versus wanting to just have the words up at once for the second version, but I think it works like this and is SUPER creepy.
I also had a tangential thought about the Gwen Stefani song fitting Megumi and Sukuna of JJK really well.
