I've gotten very into filling out the photos in the compendium for some reason*. I've never been a completionist or one to collect things just for the sake of collecting, but I'm sitting here staking out an animal for three real-life minutes waiting for it to turn around. Such is life :D So here is a collection of my best pics so far.
*This was probably actually because of my sister's enthusiasm (she's an amateur photographer) at me taking pictures when she visited the other week. Excitement is contagious!
(inspired, tbh, by this post on tumblr. their shots are better than mine though :D)
PICTURES THAT PUT ME IN MORTAL PERIL
I was circling that bear with my camera for at least a minute as it chased me down... it was very hard to get something that looked good! There was also a sleeping Hinox in the adjacent clearing that I REALLY didn't want to wake up, but the perfect shot must be the top priority.
The ice Keese froze me immediately after this picture.
BIRDS
The heron is another one I stalked for a long time, trying to get a good angle without it flying away. And then framing it nicely with the grasses. It looks very regal.
On the other hand, the crow was almost at my feet when I exited a shrine. I'm sure if I took a single step it would've left!
... can you tell I like birds 😅
MISCELLANEOUS
Caught the squirrel right as I startled it. It gets so tall!!
I like seeing the little Bokoblins in a line XD
If the Korok showed up when I offered bananas.... and the Yiga clan likes bananas..... is this Korok a Yiga?!?!?!?!? 🤔 makes you think....
I think I actually need to figure out tags for my journal -_- I've been putting it off because I don't know how to categorize my posts.....

Actually I guess I can overhype because if you just tag for "video games" and later you wish you'd tagged for the specific game title, the tag management tool can't help you XD But still!! There's room to adjust as you go with minimal pain.
