BNHA... comic? it's three images

Critical Naruto background for this: very early in Naruto, Sasuke pushes Naruto out of the way of a ton of needles, gets stabbed himself, and says his body "moved on its own". I watched the first two seasons of BNHA with my Naruto friend not long after we started watching Naruto, and we obviously came to the conclusion that Midoriya, in episode one, is mimicking this scene and playing the role of Sasuke, who he definitely... isn't. If anyone is Sasuke it's Bakugou.



I am aware that this is a perfectly normal phrase for a heroic person to say and it doesn't necessarily have any Naruto relevance.

Anyway, that's the background for my stunning three-part art:







Unlike with most of my BNHA art, I'm not posting to the episode reaction comment section (where art obviously belongs), because there's a limit to the Naruto content that anyone can be expected to tolerate XD

This is non canonical because I'm pretty sure we see Bakugou walk home shortly after the whole sludge villain thing so I don't think he received the shock blanket treatment... but otherwise they could absolutely have watched vintage anime.

You're more than welcome to post it to the episode reactions, or post a link back to your journal if you want 😂 This is hilarious. AND IT FITS like we see flashbacks where they get excited about hero talk and merch it makes total sense they would watch Naruto together and want to mimic it, too XD Ninjas and heroes are basically the same really. Different sartorial choices is all.

Bakugou totally would make a snarky comment like this in canon, if, you know. He could still talk and stuff 🥲

Bakugou is fine, every single one of the spikes definitely missed vital spots and also the wounds are instantly cauterized or something and he won't bleed 🥺🥺🥺

I get the hokage joke, but not sure about the rest.

-You already know this but the Hokage is the ninja president.
-I know very little about chainsaw man but I believe Denji is a sad protagonist orphan boy? Naruto is also a sad protagonist orphan boy. So I guess that's their connection. I believe Denji has a chainsaw in him? Naruto also has a creature within him.
-Dattebayo: Naruto's... catchphrase? Common thing he tacks onto sentences? Translated to "believe it!"
-Naruto and Sasuke's Epic Rivalry includes a lot of yelling each other's names, as you do.
-"My ninja way": I mean, it's what it sounds like, but GOD do they use this phrase incredibly often. "I'll never give up.... because that's my nindo, my ninja way...."
-The guy at the end has hair like Sasuke so he could be him, but he's not dressed like him; maybe he's a chainsaw man character?

Anyway, basically they just turned him into Naruto XD

Denji IS a sadboi orphan anime protagonist yes. xD

I suspect the character at the end is Sasuke as he doesn't match anyone we've met in CSM yet, but I appreciate that Naruto/Denji parallels as they've been laid out here!
