• I heard this song for the first time last week. Started the video at 3PM on Sunday. Posted it Tuesday. It's been a lot XD Admittedly this is a lower-effort type of video for me: minimal plot, minimal action, heavy use of long symbolic shots, and I had all the clips already from Homewrecker. I only masked like three things! But that doesn't mean a full-length video in 3 days is wise....
• I feel really pretentious whenever I use a serious song. I mean, on the one hand I take all my videos seriously. Even the ones that are meant to be funny are very genuine! And sometimes I think a cheerful pop song can be sadder than a song like this. But I normally like to have those layers in there; meanwhile this video is just one thing. I still like it! But it's definitely not my comfort zone.
• Speaking of 'heavy use of symbolic shots'... perhaps too heavy? I was a little adrift without a tightly focused plot so I threw in a sky/river/leaf shot every time I needed to transition anything. It's nice to have a slower-paced video with time for that, though.
• The timing at the end of this song was SO difficult to grasp. They didn't make it easy! I was meticulously subdividing just to get my clips to start and end on the beat. I had plans for more complex stuff at the end but with the timing being so slippery, none of it looked comfortable. So we have a bunch of stills instead.
• Does Hashirama remind anyone else of a beetle? The armor, the black eyes from being a zombie, the two little hair bits like antennae.... He's like a lovable cockroach.

Oooh that was really nice, gave me chills!! And I really liked when the song talks about a waterfall and there's a meaningful shot of one right after! (Like I don't know if the fight happens exactly at that waterfall but considering the rest of the fighting was in water, for me it worked really well.)

Congrats on the speed-vidding and huh good luck with recovery :D It's fun to do "simpler" (as in "less complex", not necessarily easy!!) sometimes :)

That fight does take place at the waterfall. They MAKE that waterfall with their huge overpowered attacks! I forget where you stopped Naruto but that's the Valley of the End, the place where Naruto and Sasuke have their big fight(s). A very symbolic place :D
