This video is UNFINISHED but I think I left it in an okay place. It has a long history of its creation, which I understand is wild since it's not even a minute long, but on its surface it's just a fun ensemble video with a bunch of jokes.

Here's hoping I'll do a few of the challenges this year 😅

Prompt 1: Iris
They can represent faith, hope, courage, wisdom and admiration. Specific flower colors attach further meanings to the pretty blooms. Purple iris brings a message of wisdom and compliments, while a bouquet of blue iris blossoms speak of hope and faith.

First of all, irises are my favorite flower! We have purple bearded irises at home, and used to have some peach-colored ones too but they seem to have been taken over by the purple. I didn't even know the non-bearded ones were still called irises...

I won't be doing this for all the prompts (there simply isn't time!), but I thought I'd make a quick AMV for this one. I picked Hinata originally because she wears purple :D but she's actually a perfect pick for every word of the flower meaning. Sai is a little less obvious but he and Hinata are very similar people if you think about it. They're both quiet, steady, and loyal. Hinata's ride or die for Naruto from the beginning; Sai takes some time but once he gets there he's THERE.

I don't know why but the video on youtube is grainier and more saturated than my local copy, despite supposedly being "HD". Another thing to figure out for the final version.

The song is Gleaming by Tatsuya Maruyama. I really like fingerstyle guitar music and I've been listening to his work for a while. This is a new one from a few months ago.

I'll have proper AMV notes like usual when I post it for real; it needs some reworking before it's finished, but I wanted to get something out before the next prompt! I'm currently debating with myself whether I should just pull out the Hinata parts and have them stand alone, or keep Sai in...

The whole time I was watching Naruto, I was CONVINCED that Itachi's left eye was Shisui's. It makes so many things make sense! Unfortunately this was not true, but I can dream. And make AMVs about it.

I.... didn't actually reread the instructions when I started, so I just went straight into the text! I made a version with the text removed afterwards though.

This one's a bit sillier than my last! Being a Kakashi AMV, it's also sad by nature, but mostly fun. With this, I've now made AMVs with three Carly Rae Jepsen songs (from the same album, even)... I just like her music, and I think it's uniquely suited to making videos that don't take themselves too seriously.
