AMV: TiK ToK

We return to my roots: very very silly videos :D

• Started this one in April and then took a while off to make my previous video and play several weeks of Zelda. I'd gotten stuck on some parts of this video anyway (the sections that ended up looking lower-effort XD) so the break was very helpful to reset and regroup.
• The heart and soul of this video is the bridge. I did that first and I'm really proud of it :) And it seems to have gone over well! From there I did the beginning and then spread outwards from the bridge.
• The color editing was the best I know how to do with the tools I have, but I would've loved to make Itachi's Angelic Light look even more like the chidori light. Unfortunately Deidara is blond so editing out a yellow glow is a little challenging.
• I can't possibly make an AMV using this song without linking to the iconic Star Trek vid. (.... I hadn't watched this video in months and I didn't realize I used basically the same effect for the 'tipsy' line XD And also, their comment in the description describes PERFECTLY how I felt when posting yesterday: "Anyway, I was planning on doing some more work with this to make it better, but then I just took one look at it and thought: Ugh, don't want to deal with THIS anymore. So I'm throwing it out there. Enjoy.")
• Speaking of the song, I originally had this slated for an Itachi AMV (which later became Career Boy when I realized it was a much more fitting song). I am so sorry Deidara. You've lost to Itachi once again.
  
• This video's tally of "completely unnecessary masking": 2! I contained myself this time, normally it's a lot more. One is when Deidara is pinned down by the giant shuriken; I very gently brought his hand into more focus and blurred the background. Literally nobody will notice this and there was no point except that I wanted to. The other is at the end where I very gently added some shaking to his hand. If you actually look it appears a little fake, but I'm counting on nobody to look closely. (That's my main philosophy with some* aspects of editing, btw: you really can get away with an extraordinary amount if it goes by fast enough, or if there's other motion to distract the eye. Either that or everybody is being very very nice to me and never pointing out glaring issues :D)

Not sure what I want to work on next... I have some half-started ideas but none of them are really pinned down. (I have a partially written post knocking around about how the first maybe 15% of effort on a video is the hardest and where most of my projects fail due to a lack of clear vision :/ If I can get past that point, the AMV gets finished... without exception, now that I'm looking at my folder of unfinished projects). The thing that I really want to work on is a video where Orochimaru succeeds in taking over Sasuke and Sasuke is left wandering as a ghost, but I can't find a song for that one so idk if it'll ever get made. Maybe I'll just open up all my projects and see if any of them interest me...
